design for mankind: issue 3

I came across design for mankind at brown paper and string. Here's the synopsis I found on their site: I publish a print/online magazine chock-full of inspiration from the emerging art/design/craft community. Ned Wright

I came across these wine bottles via TheDieline.com

Now that I've been doing this for a while, I'm coming across more and more type that's somewhere between hand-drawn and not-hand-drawn. This is sort of like embellished typography. Afterall, even typefaces are hand-drawn at some point.

Ned Wright has a beautiful portfolio full of typography.

Starbucks Vivanno Campaign

OK, I admit that I spend money at Starbucks (they have soymilk, okay?) Anyhow, I also tend to like their different campaigns. Their latest advertising for the "vivanno" incorporates handwritten text. I think the in-store stuff is nicer than the things I was able to find on the interweb.
